Can I put my cabin over a basement ?
Yes, our cabins can and have been put on wood or concrete pillars, concrete slabs, full foundations, and over basements.
How do I get the color I want ?
You can either let the cabin gray naturally after completion or the cabin logs may be stained or washed and water sealed any time after the shell is up.
What comes with a kit ?
You can actually customize your own kit, as you can get a complete dry in kit or any part of it. A complete dry in kit would include all material to erect your cabin and enclose it. This could include all framing, roofing, siding, doors, windows, etc. The sub floor, porch, and loft may be added as well.
What exactly does the log shell include ?
The log shell includes the log walls, door and window openings cut in per customers specs, a cross beam, and a loft beam. Additional rounds, beams, log joist and trusses may be added.
Do you do any other type of log work ?
Yes we do. We can do saddle notch with round logs and minimal chinking as well as full scribe with round logs that require no chinking. We also saw all sizes of beams, rafters, joist, siding, and log trusses.
How much does a cabin cost?
The chinked style log cabin shells start for as little as $16.00 per sq. ft. of ground floor space. An example would be a 16' x 24' log shell has 384 sq. ft. at $16.00 per sq. ft. it would $6,144. Can you fix my old cabin?
We do offer restoration services. We can replace rotten and broken logs, provide handmade doors, build porches and and re-chink most old cabins. The ability to restore your cabin and cost varies based on the condition. Please contact us for a quote.
